Geri Forehand is a Certified Professional Consultant to Management having previously served as National Director of Strategic Services for Sheshunoff Consulting. He began his banking career with the National Bank of Georgia and now has over 35 years of financial institution experience as a banker as well as a consultant. Geri has served as a member of the board of directors for several community banks and is qualified by banking regulatory agencies to perform mandated management and board of director reviews, as well as strategic planning, capital planning and profit planning.
Mr. Forehand has been a featured speaker for the American Banker’s Association and the Independent Community Banker’s Association, as well as numerous state associations and other national organizations. His published articles include: Director Assessment–New Standards for a High Performing Director, Behavioral Traits of the High Performance CEO, Unbroken Leadership: Succession Planning for Community Banks, and Strategic Planning: Worth the Effort.
Geri’s credentials are numerous including a Master of Business Administration degree from Georgia State University with a double major in Finance and Marketing. He has completed the Director Education Institute Program at Duke University and has studied at the Sloan School of MIT where he was awarded a certificate in “Reinventing Your Business Strategy”. He is a Fellow of the National Institute of Credit and graduated from the School of Commercial Lending at the University of Oklahoma. He was selected as an Honorary Member of Who’s Who in American Business – Millennium Edition.
